Our story began in August 2012 at Pembroke Hill, where Caroline was starting her freshman year and Alex was a sophomore. We first crossed paths in a visual arts class, and it didn't take long for us to form a connection. Alex quickly became a welcoming face in a new place, and we found ourselves spending more time together. Our high school years were a blur of Sporting KC games, late nights/parties in the Kittoe’s basement, and a Harry Potter marathon after we both had our wisdom teeth out on the same day.

After high school, our journey took us to different parts of the country—Alex to Colorado and Caroline to Mississippi—but the distance never stopped us from staying close. College weekends were filled with flights back and forth, and we made the most of every moment we could together. It wasn't long before we realized that we wanted to build our future side by side.

Post-grad, Caroline made her way to meet Alex in Denver, where we began creating a life of our own. We spent our days working, traveling, and exploring the world together, knowing that we were building a foundation for something lasting. After 5 years of adventure in Denver, we recently found our way back to Kansas City, where we bought a house and adopted our 180-pound mastiff, Rowan.

Looking back on these 13 years, we’re amazed at how quickly they’ve flown by. From high school hallways to international trips and everything in between, we've shared so many incredible moments. Now, as we prepare to start the next chapter of our lives, we couldn’t be more excited to continue this journey together—building a home, a family, and a lifetime of memories.
